I was fortunate to be asked by my partners at DJI to help shoot some promotional footage to help with the announcement and release of the new Phantom 3. For one of my shoots, I chose to fly in and around Carrie Furnaces in Pittsburgh, PA. This location provides plenty of potential issues for both interference and poor light, so it was an easy choice to really see what this platform could do. With the new technology on the Phantom 3, I was able to utilize it's vision positioning system + ultrasonic sensors to maneuver through tight spaces when GPS satellites weren't available. The camera was superb in the shadows and captured the color and detail of this location very well.
